Save the Kids will be sending two staff and two youth to the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinguency Prevention (OJJDP) National Conference in Washington D.C. on October 12, 2011. Not only will they attend sessions, but the staff and youth will be one of the sessions and will be speaking on how to get youth engaged in programming. In addition, the two youth (Damar and Dean) will also be in a focus group of 40 youth from across the country who will meet and talk with national OJJDP staff and the Attorney General regarding issues related to delinquency in youth. Save the Kids is excited about the conference. The conference is attended by more than 1,000 juvenile justice workers throughout the country.
